All are welcome at Faith Community Chapel, A Church of the Nazarene - those who believe as well as those who are seeking.

At each service we gather for meaningful worship to study God’s word. We reach out with the heart of ministry to care for our neighbors in the name of Christ here and around the world. We have fun and fellowship in a variety of activities ranging from dinners to sporting events. As we work and worship together we find that our faith grows as we enjoy friends old and new.

We are

A Christian church that believes in the divinity of Jesus Christ, the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and the love of our Heavenly Father as one triune GOD.  We believe the desire of GOD is for HIS children to be one (John 17:21).  As such, we celebrate the unity we have in Christ while respecting the differences in ourselves and others.

A church that teaches from the sixty-six books of the Holy Bible.  This sacred collection of books contain a blend of history, wisdom, guidance, and directives that lead us to know the promised Messiah Jesus Christ.  The guidance contained within these text guide us to know GOD, experience the infilling of the Holy Spirit, and enjoy the abundant life proivided by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  This entire gospel is the love story of our Father for all people as provided by Jesus Christ (John3:16-17).

Our History

Faith Community Chapel a Church of the Nazarene used to be called the Springfield Church of the Nazarene and was located on Wilbraham Road in Springfield. It ministered in the Springfield area since the 1920’s our story is a story of profound faith, sacrifice, and great joy. While we are grateful for our storied past, we minister in the present with an optimistic vision for the future.

Our Denomination is currently celebrating 104 years of ministry worldwide. We are an Evangelical Protestant Christian Church in the Wesleyan tradition. The historical Holiness Movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries gave birth to the Church of the Nazarene. Part of our distinction has always been a strong emphasis on being filled with the Holy Spirit, victorious living, and compassion on those who may have less than we have. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and that through His shed blood we may have forgiveness, and be born again. We believe that once our sins have been forgiven and we have accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, it then becomes our privilege to share this "good news" with a hurting world, thereby offering a message of hope to our community.

Our Beliefs

The Beliefs of Faith Community Chapel a Church of the Nazarene

We believe in one God-the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.

We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.

We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.

We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.

We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.

We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
